In the new age of increased fire threats and decreased insurance coverages, why build a house out of combustible material? My background in metal stud framing has always sparked my interest in bringing that building practice from the commercial world into the residential space. I partnered up with Blue Sky Building Systems on one of their proven and innovative structures utilizing light gauge steel studs to create a simple and elegant structure that blends in with its surroundings with virtually no grading or disruption to the native habitat. No combustible materials were used on the exterior creating a virtually fireproof house.
